The final curtain lowers for Adieu!
Gloom appears and glory departs.
Concludes Aunt, her roles in plays
on the stage shows- the scenes of life.
In the final farewell ends her role,
leaving dismay to minds that attend.
Leaves the venue, the actor’s soul
letting her mortal, set to shrivel.
Ache, the hearts of loved ones much,
lessening gloom is a task so hard,
as gaps and cracks, creates the exit,
and will be mended, but not now.
The Adieu adds hurts in hearts
and sad sounds of mourning in throats.
Demise ruins the family- jollity
and leaves the bereaved in silence.
A knife in skilful hand is death,
and that hand is of fate destined,
to stab the ones who fall for sure
in Yama’s* pre-planned list of hunts.
Yama*- the god of demise in Hindu mythology.
My heart felt sympathies. May your aunt rest in peace.
