The Threshold of Time!

Awake let’s from the deep sleep,

at the threshold is the fresh year;

just come out from Time's womb it has,

to fill in us dreams no doubt.

 

With those dreams follow we will

 the year just born, for its growth,

in the lovely lap of Time, putting on

weight of days, weeks and months.

 

The year previous has waned,

 after slipping into its old age

and its soul will fly away to infinity

 for the New Year to be in the chair.  

 

The one that left us has ensured

our triumphs of adequate ways,

and reveries, we dreamt were made true

though many failures fell on our way.

 

Let our mind and body be intact,

 recalling all the virtues, we presented.

Hug let us our boons, the cool breeze,

Elixir-rains, moony nights and bright days.

Refresh our minds to receive

with weighty warmth the very Year

that ganders in and amusements

we will amass by immersing in it.
