The Mislaid Paper!

The boy, who was low-spirited, distressed

stood at the side of the railway track

which, to cuddle its most favourite train,

lay in wait for its glorious entry.

Much concerned remained the tree,

who, he and his friends made their chum.

Yadu and Dhruv, the fifteen-year-old friends

gratefully picked Jamuns, from their pal.

Alas! A bolt from the blue blocked the joy

of the boy, Yadu, in the form of the tenth result.

When achievement route clasped all his pals,

'Absent' showed the sheet of his final result.

His promising subject ‘Mathematics'

that attended he had for cent percent,

found missing; found he no bound to his angst

and could do zero, his unschooled parents.

Sensing a dark zone in his hope of studies,

Decided to seek, the ‘sphere with no qualms'.

But, God! Thanks, rapid rains in heavy strokes

stirred his reflex; an athlete’s race, ran his toes.

With ease passed the train to the station,

and freed his life thus, the rain and train.

“In pursuit of your paper, go I will,"

solace and warmth in Dhruv's dad's words.
