Friendship and Fraternity ! Part-2

Part-2

In Kerala, the political parties have only one agenda that is to feed only those set of people who are believed to be en masse in favour of their party with regard to mandates.  The RSS and Seva Bharti that render earnest services to the indigent and devastated are tied under the head Hindutva. Aren’t the Hindus citizens of this country?  Some people in the pseudo- name of reforms, sting venom in the minds of poor common citizens pushing them into sedition-incurring revolts, upsetting the quietude prevalent here. A majority of the minorities is patriotic, but a minority of them is anti-national and anti-Hindu. Such ones may be there in the majority also, but less in statistics. Let us see what is happening at this ominous time of this fight against Corona-virus. Risking their lives even some unprincipled elements try to bring injuries to the nation’s body by sidestepping the escape rules laid down by the government.

Here the minorities, in fact, are more felicitated and facilitated than the ones flying with the wings of the conventional religion. It takes place because of the broad-minded and philanthropic attitude of the Hindus, though the Semitic Faiths are much younger than Hinduism. During all the centuries of their being here, they haven’t experienced any pain of thorns that pierced the skin of their Faiths, though the native Faith had ached much. And in the future also they will not grieve for any untowardness. The bills passed in the parliament are in no way harmful to any of the minorities’ or majorities’ citizens of the land and they will not suffer any persecution since this nation will uphold its culture of making friends with all.

The minorities of this nation actually enjoy more freedom and more facilities here than the so-called majorities, though the constitution stands for equality, fraternity and liberty. If one thinks about the conditions in our neighbouring Muslim countries, there are bomb blast murders stirring the peace of each sect of the same religion. Such a stage is tantamount to a suicidal situation. It is incomprehensible-why some spray turmoil flour in the eyes of comfortably living people.

And now some perilous goons from yore took the handle of the globe in hand, started turning it rashly claiming lives. The goons cared not at all the religions, regions, gender, age, or Faith in dismantling the social texture of homo-sapiens. These goons are given the nomenclature as Covid-19. So, at least for the present time CAA and NPR struggles haved been folded and kept dawdling and hence the agitation has not left with any choice of its preferences from the arena. So, this COVID 19 virus is an antibiotic, Nature has developed in her lab to cope with people’s mental ailments of the mutual fight.

We all came from the same blood of forefathers and had a lifestyle equal to theirs. Faith-centred disparity and contests took shoots later and the people began to run after them only to become unglued. And conversion is another arm lying above the head of societies’ quietude. When it is a social pandemic some method to peacefully curb it should be thought of. It is a fertilizer for hatred in unconverted minds.

Regarding civil law, the entire nation should have only one law, only one regulation with no special concession despite all beliefs. The feeling of ‘they get more and we get less’ should be washed ashore from this soil.  We should thread the people in the string of friendship and fraternity to have singleness among the assortment.  Lenience to others and acceptance of each other should be our slogan. The Nation’s ancient epics, Ramayana, Mahabharata and other ones give lessons on Fraternity and friendship. So, let us stand for ‘Friends-they cherish one another’s hopes. They are kind to one another’s dreams.’

This could be the slogan for the entire world, I feel! So much of 'them and us' had developed over the past few years, everywhere. Hateful. Now the hate is being directed to the perceived source of the COVID-19... so many humans are so filled with anger they become blind to the open hearts and minds. I too pray for true fraternity. YAM xx

  2. Political parties are supporting minorities only to get their votes. Minorities should realize that these parties really do not have their welfare in their minds. Only their votes.

One more thing. Some Hindus (like Kamal Haasan) are anti-hindu only to show the minorities how great they are.

  4. Appeasement of various vote banks is a common feature in all democracies. Some do it very cleverly, some not so.

In all societies, minorities (not just religious, but any) who have been at the receiving end of the majority, have been provided assistance so that they can sort of turbo charge their path ahead and be abreast with everyone else.

But this assistance is always (and should be) temporary, and not permanent.

When it comes to radicalism and fundamentalism, every group has it. Every group also has inclusive and broadminded people who look beyond symbolic divergences.

This world is a beautiful place not because of any one particular religion or linguistic or ethnic group. It's because of largehearted people who see other people as fellow human beings first and last, who reach out to others with love, compassion and kindness.
