Friendship and Fraternity!

Part-1

‘Friends-they cherish one another’s hopes. They are kind to one another’s dreams.’ By Henry David Thoreau.

The nation’s pledge in India starts-India is my country and all Indians are my brothers and sisters. No doubt India was like that till one or more decades back. Friendship and Fraternity are two robust bonds that keep people glued with each other.

Is the very sense of true friendship and fraternity being diminished here now-a-days in India? Yes, at least among the notable Faiths it occurs and that is only because of the terrorizing attitude of a few. They throw the battens of hatred and murder on another religion and they in turn retort. Result loss of innocent lives creating childless parents and widowed females. They don’t think that they all are the inherited blood of the same forefathers.

India is nation with full of green plants, long rivers, high mountains, scented breeze and starry sky. India- Can we expand it as Ideal, Noble, Diligent, Important and Advanced? If not, it is on us to make it, yes make it we should. India, a populous democratic country enjoying its unique plurality with its variety in respect of language, caste, credo, colour, gender and many such. Its demography varies with the contemporary time with regard to demises and deliveries, of which the latter dominates the former which stands expanding the rate of population growth resulting in the shortage of resources including oxygen.

From time immemorial this hallowed land has been selflessly watering, manuring and nurturing well its inhabitants, exhibiting hesitation or bias nil. Oneness filled concern and satiation in people’s minds, as they followed the maxim ‘vasudhaiva kudumbakam-the world a family’. In the meantime, some invaders from overseas intermittently arrived and pelted stones on its culture and filled turmoil in this soil, curtailing the tranquility of the nation.

None of the nation’s sons found any impediments here other than the ones the nature loaded on us as draught, deluge, crop-damage etc. Altruistic hands then themselves stretched among the members of the society and soothed the pain of wounds of others with the cream of love.  People drove their cart of lives through the roads of this country easily and smoothly.

Now somewhere something rotten produces a foul smell, the source of which is not indigenous sure. Some wicked external force plays a horrid game to see the end of the country’s cohesion. The government passed some bills which obtained needed concurrence from both the houses, Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. In the initial stages of the bill’s birth, thither-hither some murmurs took shoots, but were not growing that fast. Scandals and rumours were cooked and supplied by some unscrupulous humans, to the minorities especially the Muslims stating that they will fall in prejudice and face persecution. There is no question of discrimination of any kind or persecution of any method, in a massive nation like India, whoever may be in the office of governance.

Unbelievable remarks about the Premier, Mr. Narendra Modi were scripted and are scripted and demonstrated amidst the Muslim brotherhood of the country. On what bases, such evils are born here, don’t know. What gets poured out of my mind takes its minerals from things which happen around and not that I am biased.  What are the unbearable harms that Modi has brought to the nation or the Muslim brothers? Has he stopped any amenities or facilities of the minorities, though they are undue in Hindu-eyes? Has he banned any of their customs or rituals? Has he punished them with any litigation on some silly or fake crimes? Has he provided any unjustified priorities to the majorities? Has he censored any comforts extended by one of the previous governments specifically to the minorities? The majorities were in effect sufferers under that government.

But one thing, Modi does not allow any super individual illegally above his head as some other head of the nation bowed before the party leader, who stood above all in reign. Nor does Modi’s family indulge in any governance programmes and nor do his kin folk relish any star facilities at the cost of citizens’ tax currency. It has become customary on the part of people to present Modi with a garb woven out of faults and blames, creating a variety of uproars, whereas they find in somebody else the loadstar to guide this massive nation. Actually, what kind of political experiences do they have, other than dynasty and nepotism? Had it been any experienced leader at the top step of the party-ladder, the things would have turned meaningful. An extensive number of capable leaders in that party had to part with their young-age lives. Still there were and are so many people with the right leadership calibre. But a group consisting of only kin folks is a suppressant factor in that party, allowing none bar their family members to hold the cerebral part.. The outcome all became the slaves of theirs, as if the Indian union has been sold to them.

  2. I have very mixed feelings about a good majority of our politicians of all parties.

For many of them, "service to society" is a totally unknown entity. They survive on making statements, that too as controversial as possible.

How nice it would have been if - instead of criticising everything that someone else does - they took up some social service, working for people's welfare.

I am not saying all politicians are like that. Every party has a few good people. And that is the only ray of hope in our country.

Prime Minister Modi is not perfect in all that he does. He has his drawbacks and weaknesses. There are many things he could have done much better or he can do better. But overall, I think he has been doing a reasonably good job, giving the country the sort of leadership that it needs.

Any democracy is only as good as its politicians. It will be ruined by if there are poor quality politicians. So, it's extremely important that in a democracy we have politicians of very good calibre.

  3. True Pradeep, the politicians are selfish,self-centred, greedy and traitorous. N.Modi seems to be different, patriotic.

  5. I am not in any side. But by observing the news, any flaw happens in any state, that is being attributed to N.Modi. It has become customary to do so.At the same time his strength is left untouched. I don't support any party as such.Thank you for the visit.
