A Bunch of Flowers!

This is a  floral tribute to Shiki, who left a wound in my mind.  A great life in sheer pain.So I used past tense here.(For Carpe Diem).

 Gifted him, the great
 God, talent and flair; Blissful
Perpetuity.

Shiki, ho! How much
The ache and weakness claimed you.
 Your soul's lines here.

The scent his writing
Brush sprinkled is appealing.
Marks  touchy in hearts.

God, the great snatched life
His, walked he peacefully
To Eternity.

 The tour in life's
Forest, in action's sunset
Ends; sight all the views

  1. Very touching Sarala. Pardon my lack of knowledge. Who is or what is Shiki?

    1. It is not lack of knowledge, but he is not that known among us. A Japanese lived in the first quarter of the last century, when T.B was incurable. And that ailment tormented Shiki for seven years, offering him a slow death. He was a renowned poet from whose writing-brush a good many number of highly appreciable poems (haiku also) were born.Ref: Carpe Diem. Thank you,SG.
