Spring!

Spring!

Spring rocks  in hues,

ornate garb with stunning prints.

 Gold laces the edge.

Herbs and Shrubs eye their

dear shimmering sun and bloom.

What a pretty scene!

The Gardener God

sights things from high in the sky.

Clouds spurt elixir.

Plants are in fresh moods,

 Breeze sweetly sings lullabies.

 Seedlings hum tunes.

Blooms are feasts for eyes,

craving for calm in the chill.

Oh! Nature, what a beauty!

Crystal-clear Drops!

Crystal Brook!

crystal brook
reflects the willow trees
birds sing their song.
Willow trees at their gaiety
their beautiful image in water.

Crystal-clear Drops!

Pelt kids stones in brook,
splash water-drops as glass-squads.
Ah! very pretty sight!

Silver drops shimmer
in air; o, crystal-clear drops
of water, catching.

O, no diamond
splinters soar in air, little
 eyes in excitement.

They are a hundred
stars, aha! Fly and flicker,
Little hands in claps.

Little legs many
approach, loud laughter tinkles,
 hilarious scene.

Winning Hues!

The garden and  her
Loving inmates pull beings.
Winning hues on blooms.

 The lovely pink blooms
The Edward Rose exhibits.
 Beautiful attire.

Make-up Shrub has done;
Well suits her purple-bloomed garb.
 Around her vibgyor*.

Sweet smell spreads scented
 Dress, attracts it, passers-by.
What a striking scene!

Unwilling to return,
Stay eyes long in the garden.
Forgets viewer glooms.

Nectar-loving Flies
To the Shrub, fly from far,
Fall in love with her.

A Startling Art!

In the morning, Sun
Mixes colours on his own
pretty day-palatte.

For  the choicest use,
He carries his day-palette.
Travels in the sky.

Readied the canvass,
The sky; ready is himself.
Bears a grin on face.

 On the canvass, in
Dazzling black and white, he paints.
A startling art.

The Accordionists!

   High jumpers are the
Athlete-frogs; the running-tracks
 are land and water.

 Accordionists are
they too; play rough sweet tunes
On their tools inbuilt.

Show their talent to
 Alert beings, when becomes
 Nature furious.

The accordions are
Payed well in monsoon's onset,
 In their pitch much high.

 The composer-frog
starts the performance; the troupe
 in chorus follows.

Play they their tools well
Prior to Nature’s Band-men,
Storm and Rain arrive.

Mystic Night!

Dawn, a quiet kid
 When grows into youth, attains
Might and power much.
Noon sights her making his pal,
Noisy Evening envies Dawn.

Wakes up to morning
Stillness,Dawn spreading splendor;
Noon cuddles cute Dawn.
Frowns Evening at Noon and waits
For Dusk with lust to hug her.

Arrives mystic Night
To alert all residents,
For meditation.
For a long rumination
The dwellers well close their eyes.

Deep Dark!

Sinking into deep
Dark, beings close eyes for sleep
And awake I am.

 With my book open
Sit, I, to read the next half
With a smooth mood now.

 Candles emit light;
Smells bright, coffee in mug, have
Desire for a sip.

 Night, her dress, washes
In rain; spreads and leaks through the
  Window, its black hue.

Gaining energy
Fresh, Wind runs fast too far for
 Exploring places.

Shrub peeps in, through the
 Window and passes a
 Lovely smile to me.

 Seeking the bed,fall
Into slumber comfy, me, Moon
And his little pals.

My Ixora!

Google image

 Nectar in store keeps
My Ixora, for insects
That have need indeed.

Eyes, she equal, no
Bias, gruesome beetles and
 Pretty butterflies.

Little kids’ scallywags
Spoil pretty blooms Ixora's;
Snatch them they and smash.

Grins and fondles them
Still she, rubbing their cheeks, soft
Like her stunning blooms.

Her spouse, Wind, slaps her
Harsh sometimes; strokes, Breeze, her soft
Child, very lovingly.

Shows she no ire to
Him, instead she lies in wait
Keenly when he leaves.

Shaking and swaying
Her body and hands, plays she
Well with Wind and Breeze

Sprinkling Elixir!

Autumnal season is rainy in Kerala and its advent is after summer .So based on Kerala’s climatic condition I have attempted this topic.

 First autumn morning
The mirror I stare into
Shows my father's face.
Saves me, dad from mom’s ire,
I wake up late when rainy.

Drains of, harsh Summer
Earth's water, poor Earth thirsty.
Arrives calm Autumn.
Keeps Autumn water a lot
In store for Earth, up in sky.

Her first  dawn, Autumn
Breaks pots and pours water down.
Sprinkling elixir.
Birds sing, rock and roll flowers
And flies; rejoice all beings.

Exit!

Image result for spring images

Google Image

On the Time-stage in
full swing,a ballet performs
the actress Winter.

 Role hers, denoting
 Distress, expresses she for
 Viewers stylishly.

Making the show safe
in hand, hides she  manager
 Sun’s ennui in heart.

Looms late, exits the
Stage early and during the
 Show dims He the light.

Partial is Sun to
The sweet spring with talcum on
 Face and blooms on hair.

Bearing broad grin, Sun
Greets his sweet love, Spring; with
Gloom, Winter exits.

Roughness, not my Fault!

Image result for Image Ash Tree
Ash Tree

Birds prey on my fruit;
Kids play in my shade and use
 People all my parts.

Why do you be, from
Me, away? Come to my shade,
Lonely when you feel.

Now I grow old, my
Looks lose luster, all that are
My pals, dessert me.

Young of us, youths choose;
Creases will conquer charm of
Both, pale will grow bark.

Your Tree Ash am
I; coarse now becomes my bark,
I lose my splendor.

Roughness, not my fault
Ruining my lure brings wrinkles,
Time on handsome me.

Had I had Feathers!

(The perspective of a child)

Birds, o, how glad are!
Fly they high in sky, take them
To choice, their feathers.

The far off places
With ease they visit and fruit
High-hanging they pick.

Affects them no cold;
Feathers cover them in chill.
No blanket I have.

Peacefully sleep birds,
Perching on trees, blanketing
 The body with wings

 No cash Dad has and
No cover I have; but mom's
Hugging limbs warm me.

Conquering the whole
World, gaily flown I would have,
Had I had feathers.

No School Days!

Here I have taken just a trip through the memory lane.

No school days! children
Rouse not; hugs eyelids, sleep; they
Refuse parting with.

Once out of bed the
Legs seek ponds for bath; kids and
 Water gaily play.

Scarlet become kids’
Eyes, brick red turns water; on
face Dad has crimson.

Bush gifts a stick to
Dad and uses he to stroke
The thighs, eyes flood tears.

With smile and towel
Mom wipes water and wince; kiss
She gifts lovingly.

Poor Shore!

Beach!

Gone the Sun, yet Shore
In hot burns, for wind in frown
Has gone far from her.

Shore poor suffers from
Sun, but can do nothing; Sun
 Is powerful much.

Awaits eagerly
She, for her friend’s quick return;
Only he helps her.

 In repentance to
Shore rushes Wind, as he knows
 Sun harshly burns her.

Wind wears gale’s wings and
Very fast flies to Seashore
To save friend from Sun.

Shore feels snug when wind
By fanning, solaces her
So caressingly.

 The seaside sand feels
Thrilled, when wind lovingly fans
Her and visitors.

First Day in School!

Receives new tender
Feet, the Campus in wait for
Her  next study-year.

New bag, new dress, kid
Excited, gets up, gets ready
Fast and sits on bike.

Enters kid as a
Bud; sways in campus-breeze with
More buds and blooms bright.

Kids all in same hues
Seem blooms of one plant, though  much
Hue and cry greets us.

Some buds droop, little
Eyes shower tears when gets the
Teacher into class..

 An ensemble of
Tear-rains and scream-thunder fills
 Campus with hubbub.

At exodus looms
 bike father's; smile exotic
adorns soft visage.

Paddy in Field!

Image result for paddy cultivationGoogle images.

Farmers and oxen
Prepare bed for seedling kid.
Rises Rice in field.

Grins Dawn, hums Paddy
Soft melody; join little
Birdies in Chorus.

Seedlings are in youth,
Attain Rice-pals adulthood
Grinning much gaily.

Lift in hand bunches
Of blooms Paddy in field; spreads
Fragrance all around.

Taking flowers in
In hand Wind smiles lovably; shake
 Head Paddy in glee.

The philanthropist
Paddy feeds and fills stomachs.
A sense of pleasure.

Multi-hued Foliage!

(Here I have taken foliage in general, not Autumn Foliage.Image from google.)

In bridal wear is
The maid Earth; adorn her dress,
 Blooms and foliage.

Steal our sight sure, her
Multi-hued designs on dress.
Eyes we take out not.

Doubles her beauty
Her array's prints of leaves with
Hues  and blooms much cute.

 At her the groom, Sun
Winks and beams; coyly batting
 Eyes she twists and rocks.

Sides with Wind Moon; he
Eclipses Sun from Earth, brings
 Dark angst in her mind.

 Envies Wind Sun; blows
Away her Sari , holds she
 It tight  and sets right.

Lilies-of- the- Valley.!

lilies-of-the-valley
stuck to the mountainside
like ribbons

Charm the viewers with cuteness;
Harm them,they with  their venom.

I have penned a few lines as haiku on Lilies-of-the-valley.

Celebrate friendship,
Lily of the valley and
Fairy of the green.

To keep the bond, ties
Lily, on Fairy's hand, a
 Band; they laugh in joy.

 Visits Fairy her
Friend, Lily. Dance in valley
Lily and Fairy.

Spray in spring sweet scent
Lilies-of-the-valley  for
Her friends everywhere.

Lilly bears perfumed
Blooms;  Spring with warmth in heart and
Smile on lips greets her.

The bouquet of sweet
Fragrance Lily offers Spring
While shaking the hands.

Beauty in Sky!

(I haven't taken it as the peace for ever.)

Cotton bundles in
Sky, spell of beauty in eye
Mind clicks the figure .

Mesmerizing scene
Allows not mind to away go.
This is Ecstasy.

Unties who the fine
Bundle and scatters cotton
here-there? Still pretty.

Feel like lying there
And roll on cotton  sprinkled;
Rest in comfy way.

Shades of Blossom!

 The blue sky blooms, bright
sparkling smile  spreads everywhere.
Nature a wonder!

Amidst the blooms stands
The Maid,Moon and eyes she bats
In amazement much..

Envies Lady-Earth
her friend,Sky; wears she flowers
 Much sweet  on  her hair.

 Spoils the villain, Day
 the sky-garden, fade away
  sadly flowers all.
