Part-2

Now let us look into the ills, the society faces on account of corporate bodies’ presence. Can the corporate stand as a panacea for all that are unwell? No, the corporate bodies never care about what goes on around. Their eagle eyes aim  only at profit making and expanding their business empire, as they have been and are pro-profit entities. The corporate heads live in glass houses embedded in luxury and lavishness.

 Why to blame only the corporates, what about the politicians?  They too reside in star facilities at the cost of poor tax payers' money. The wealth amassed by them crosses even that of the corporates. If their legal and illegal deposits inside and abroad are shaken, that will suffice  to fulfill the countries commitments.And so stand their accomplices' savings also.

Another matter is the companies are bothered the least while acquiring the possession of people staying nearby for launching companies or inflating their business. Nor do they show any clemency to extent any aid to such people. They have hesitation naught to crush down all that blocks their fervor.  
           

 There are corporate houses  that are seldom bothered about the goings-on around.  The atmosphere entirety becomes polluted as the corporate allows emergence of smokes to Air, disposes waste to land and water. And the waste from their produces stays about without rotting, injuring the purity of the environment. Health hazard is a vicious issue amidst the people residing nearby.

The corporate shouldn’t act blind in all those situations. They should keep their eyes wide open to learn the impediments that the people suffer from. They should do the needful to recuperate the harm and hurt brought by them to the habitat and inhabitants of the terrain.

Since the corporate employees draw remuneration at high rates, their spending ability goes high affecting the prices of goods which often mark inflation. Expansion of land cost, expense of building construction etc. nip the yen of men to have an own residence, in the bud itself.  Education becomes a twin sibling of corporate, as quality education is available only in self-financing institutions. Therefore good education remains as a discontented dream for the common man. 

Another main factor is, as it is said in its commencement, is lack of time on the part of corporate employees. While they immerse their heads in laptops, their offspring spend their babyhood in maids’ laps or in crèches. The corporate staff do not experience the exquisiteness of sunrise and sunset. They cannot enjoy rains or chills. They don’t have time enough to eat well, sleep snug and even bathe neat. Human relation’s warmth dies in the heart, rather being killed in the heart.  Here we should understand that  life does not mean only money.

  Corporate Heads should value the lives of their staff as there is only one life for both the heads and subordinates. As is stated earlier the children are deprived of their parents’ patting and pampering, since the time waits for none and instead waves it goodbye to all. Such children, the tomorrow’s citizens may not understand the warmth of human liaison and when they grow up their old age parents may be left uncared.  And moreover act they may against the interest of the country due to scarcity of patriotism. 
 

Citizens’ paramount affairs like family rapport, recreation, housekeeping, communication with kith and kin, merging with the society etc. will flee the environs and vanish from the vicinity. People lead a mechanical mode of life with little cognizance about the occurrences around. What the corporate should do is they should employ more persons for each job, i.e. the load will get distributed among more people lessening the employees’ weight of their physique as well as psyche.

The case in point is that a job with two employees can have three or four and the amount earmarked for two’s salary may suffice for three or four, provided it is not too measly. The staff will obtain a life good to live in spite of the fact that their take home salary becomes a little less.

 The corporate bodies should consider the staff’s family life too, so that their satiated souls will find ease in working more efficiently. Peaceful mind of the employees will love their companies wholeheartedly and work earnestly with full spirit; the advantage will lie with the company only. The quality and quantity of a companies’ produce will then undoubtedly mark significant updation and upgradation. A strong bond among kin of the staff, will lead to family link, extended family relation and social communication and eventually the Nation will become the utmost beneficiary.

 ‘The toddler is screeching at the highest pitch of its voice seeking the mother’s presence. The loudness in fact pierces the ears of the child- minder, despite the latter’s all the exercises to set the kid calm. Mother reached home late by one hour more than the usual. She is working in a corporate concern. Every now and then it so happens while the tender mind tends to await its mother’s entry after a long severance from morning till night. The mother is a staff in a corporate company.’

I have quoted this paradigm just to express the predicament one faces being a part of corporation. What the corporate bodies do is in fact extracting the juice of their employees. At the same time they are the main sources of revenue for people. Let’s now have a scrutiny over the pros and cones of corporation which forms the backbones of almost all the nations now.

 The Corporate Body signifying here is a business concern owned by a single man or a group assisted by a board of directors. Families’ survival in general revolves around corporations.  I have heard many a man blindly speaks ill of corporations in our country. Corporate bodies are often titled ‘Corporate Monsters’, the income bagged from them by the employees is enormous though. The journey of people seek  posh four wheelers, their slumber wants outsized mansions and their households come from classy shops and all these happen because of the corporate cash in their account.

  Many of the families’ survival itself will become a question mark, until unless at least one member is a member of a conglomerate. Lately it has become a dream for youngsters to get into a corporate organization to fulfill their ambition for a luxuriant life. And they feel that their goal is reached when they see offer letters for the job of their option very fervent. On an evaluation of the merit-demerits of corporate bodies, we come across both benefits and barriers, though not in the same style.

Let us now ponder over its advantages which no doubt we experience in a great deal. The youths, when reach the conclusion of their education, rather before its completion even, see themselves land in some corporate jobs.  The recent trend is that companies grab the youths from campuses, unlike the period prior to corporate propagation, when they had to desperately hunt for a career. So the education lately becomes a fail-safe affair as far as obtaining an employment is concerned. At the finishing point of each Month, astounding amount of pecuniary benefits surge to the employees’ bank accounts. In such situations, who is there that hates corporate service?

Corporate employees ‘progeny obtain their education from elite institutions on account of their financial status, even if the IQ level of the former is slightly dim. Higher studies are no more a nightmare for want of fund. Self-financing Schools and colleges spurt up like grasses in soil after rains. And they too provide plentiful jobs to people all over.

 Trades of various natures both petite and fat run straightly or obliquely on the roads built by corporate economy. Generating fund for existence has gained ease when compared to the time, two or three decades ago.

Corporate employees’ dependability on various other skilled workers such as domestic help, ironing man, gardener, milk man, driver and so on provides the latter ones to make both ends meet. Since the corporate employee draws a striking salary, it flows to the society in diverse ways influencing the lives of many. As the society’s buying competence is much more than earlier, the shopping also has augmented at numerous places hiking the benefit of shop people. Here we can see that corporate companies become instrumental to bounteous residences’ livelihood. Rareness of revenue has shrunken extensively, the result a decline is noticed in poverty level as a whole. The outer shell of residential areas in totality has attained a refined look.

The conglomerates’ existence amounts to the advancement of infrastructure of surrounding areas so that one can make use of a trouble-free accessibility. Snag in obtaining indispensables peters out, as goods of all sorts become easily available.  If we mull over the gains we acquire from corporation, they are no doubt profuse. Though the critics contempt the corporate, abandoning of this culture after its cultivation in sizable scales today, will instill carnages in society.

മണികണ്ഠസ്വാമി!അവിടുത്തെ ചരിതങ്ങൾ

മണ്ണിലും വിണ്ണിലും നിറഞ്ഞു നിൽപ്പൂ .

അവിടുത്തെ  പാദസ്പർശനമേൽക്കുന്ന 

ഇടമെല്ലാം എന്നാളും പുണ്യസ്ഥാനം  

പന്തളരാജനാം, പാണ്ട്യരാജാവ് , 

ചിന്തയോടൊരുനാൾ ഗമിച്ചു വനേ. 

അടവിയിൽ കണ്ടോരു ദിവ്യനാം ബാലനെ,  

മടിതെല്ലും കൂടാതെ പുത്രനാക്കി. 

  

കണ്ഠത്തിൽക്കാണായി ദിവ്യമൊരു മണി,  

'മണികണ്ഠൻ'  നാമമവനിൽച്ചേർന്നു .

ആനനം ദിവ്യൻറെ കാണുമ്പോൾക്കാണുമ്പോൾ,   

ആനന്ദത്താൽ ലോകർ നൃത്തമാടി. 

ഫലവത്തായ്,  ഒരുദിനേ മന്ത്രിതൻ ഏഷണി,   

'വലയുന്നു  വ്യാധിയാൽ റാണി'യെന്ന്. 

  

പോറ്റമ്മതന്നുടെ  കപടരോഗം മൂലം,   

പെറ്റപുലിയുടെ  പാലുവേണംപോൽ.

ആശങ്ക തെല്ലുമേ  കാട്ടാതെ മണികണ്ഠൻ,

ലേശവും മടിയാതെ  അടവിതേടി.

സുന്ദരവദനത്തിൽ   തോഷംനിറച്ചവൻ 

മന്ദിരം പുല്കിയതു് പുലിമേലേറി.

 പരിവാരങ്ങൾക്കെല്ലാം  വിസ്മയമുള്ളിൽ   

പരിചൊടു മാലോകർ  കൈകൾ കൂപ്പി.

മണികണ്ഠൻതന്നുടെയിച്ഛയെ  മാനിച്ച്

 പണിതു  മലമേലൊരാലയം രാജൻ.

ശബരീകാനനക്കുന്നിനു  മീതെയായ്, 

ആബാലവൃദ്ധം ജനം തൊഴാൻ  നിൽപ്പൂ. 

 

 സാലവൃന്ദങ്ങളും  നിബിഡവനത്തിൽ, 

ചേലെഴും ഭക്തിയിൽ മിഴികൾ കൂപ്പൂ.

മന്ദസമീരൻആടുന്നു ഭക്തിയിൽ 

മന്ദം  മൂളുന്നൊരീണം ചകോരം.  

 ലതകൾ, താളത്തിൽ  തലയാട്ടിനിൽപ്പൂ, 

പതത്രികൾ ചില്ലയിൽ ഇരുന്നു ഭജിപ്പൂ.

 മക്കളെ  താരാട്ടും  അമ്മ വസുന്ധര,

 മൂകമായ് ജപിയ്ക്കുന്നു ഭഗവത്‍നാമം.

മണികണ്ഠസ്വാമി , നിന്നിലെ   അദ്ഭുതം, 

വർണിയ്ക്കാൻ  വാക്കുകൾതീരെപ്പോരാ.

  

 ഞങ്ങൾതൻ ദർപ്പത്തെ മായിച്ചുകളയണം, 

ദർപ്പണത്തിൽ രൂപം  തെളിഞ്ഞിടേണം.  

പതത്രി = പക്ഷി 

  

Quietude!

Quite often hear we, calm and quiet,

Silence and peace and rest and sleep.

 But nowhere, we see any of these,

 But witness in fact, a hell very large,
 Of hustle and bustle and unrest and clash

 And sure, a race hurried for cash.

 

Tired we are of blast and blare,

Smoke and fumes and dust and dirt.

Around us we observe when,

One thing we can recognize;

Silence travels sure to distance

From the homes of homo-sapiens.

 

Seem they busy, they become engaged,

Occupied they act with freedom zero.

Moms of children on heels and wheels

Have to skip from kitchen to office

And pops go away from tiny kids

Far on tour from time to time.

 

Having time seldom to converse,

The dear and near part with people.

Shrink visits, triumph mobiles,

Spoiling the warmth of kinship, 

Pomp and pretence dance and dwell

 Here, with the pleasure of a high degree.

Faith and trust and all such values

Have fled the globe in the vast fuss.

Ah! Yes, go to the huts in villages

They stay there with hitches nil.

Fondling follows frowning there

And that too with a touch of quietude.
